FlowerThinger 1.1 is a freeware game for Windows. It features an interactive virtual garden. We can download it from the developer’s website. Installing is quite simple and so is it its user’s interface. We can enjoy unlimited time of playing. At startup, we can see a brown piece of land (our garden to be), a stoned wall, and a beautiful landscape, with green fields, trees, and mountains on the distance. As time passes by, we can see the changing time, from sunny to cloudy, or raining. We can start planting any or all of the eleven different plants available at the bottom of the window. There are star daisy, iris, violet, buttercup, daisy, day lily, maiden grass, sunflower, lily of the valley, jonquil, and tulip. We must drag and drop to plant the seeds. We can water them, pull the weeds, leave on their own, or turn them off. We can see the plants growing or selec their instant bloom, delete them, start again and cancel. From time to time, there will be some animal visiting us, such as the small rabbit, little frog, butterflies and birds. We can turn the sound on and off. We can also take pictures of our garden and save them to a file. It runs under Windows 2000 and XP operating systems.
